Gauge inventory management system is established to ensure that gauges records, stocks and calibration requirements are complied on time as per standards.

 

Gauge inventory management system is established for recording all concern information of gauges and its inventory, gauges are used in quality inspection of product as per product standards, technical requirements and product expected from customers are managed and conducted inventory for internal requirements of gauges during manufacturing processes, quality verification and inspection processes. The documents are established for recording of each gauge used in manufacturing and quality inspection processes, recording stocks and calibration of each gauges, due date of gauge to ensure that each gauge use in manufacturing and supporting processes, quality inspection and in-process production lines uses are conducted with accurate gauge for measurements of product and its quality concern. Gauge inventory management system is conducted to recording information, managing each gauges used in various departments and locations, monitoring on calibration, repairing and replacement of gauges in manufacturing and supporting processes.

 

The system is established for monitoring, controls and documents each activity, conducting requirements of internal department’s individuals and provides gauges to each department as per requirements of their production lines & product standards. The process for gauges management is conducted by quality manager and responsible for each activity, procedures and documentation of concern. The quality manager is prepared required procedures to managing gauge inventory and its management for concern peoples can follow the processes as per standards, where each gauges requirements, resources requirements, maintenance and calibration are involved. The documentation are managed by quality manager, where some formats are regular used in gauge inventory register, see picture below given as example format of gauge inventory register for education purpose:

Gauge inventory register is regular used format in quality department, where all the gauges are recorded in single format for managing activities concern gauges, and its requirements. The register is maintained and update as per requirements, frequency of calibrations and maintenance activities are conducted. In the register generally brief details of gauges are maintained where gauges serial numbers and model number, brief description of gauge, range, gauge type, location where gauge is used for various processes, current condition of gauge, used of gauge in processes and calibration concern details are general for register. Gauge inventory register is maintained and update as per standard requirements and procedure established by quality department.
